Sr Alidah Kekana
Nurse Clinician: Student Health Service, University of Pretoria
Kekana Mmaphuthi, a dedicated Nurse Clinician based at the University of Pretoria's Onderstepoort Campus. With a distinguished academic background, Kekana recently earned her Master of Nursing in Clinical Fields with Cum Laude. Her qualifications also include a Bachelor of Nursing Science (Education and Administration), a Diploma in Nursing Science covering General, Psychiatry, Community, and Midwifery disciplines, and a Secondary Teachers Diploma.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Kekana is a certified Primary Health Care Nurse and an influential Sexual and Reproductive Health Coach advocating for better health outcomes for the youth. Beyond healthcare, she is deeply committed to mentorship, serving as a Girls for Girls (G4G) Mentor, empowering young women through mentorship to achieve their fullest potential. Her community impact was nationally recognized when she was named one of South Africa's Top 50 Community Builders in 2023.
Currently, she holds the position of Chairperson of the South African Association of Campus Health Services (SAACHS), Gauteng Region, where she plays a vital role in advancing campus health initiatives.
