Thank you for your interest in speaking at the SAACHS Conference.

More than 140 campus health professionals and decision-makers from SAACHS' twenty four member universities will attend the three content-packed conference and exhibition. The event is designed to maximise collaboration between delegates through knowledge transfer and learning, structured engagement, activities and social functions. The conference will include a comprehensive programme of addresses, interactive presentations, round table forums, and panel discussions.

If you are interested or know of someone who will be interested in speaking at the SAACHS Conference please read the following guidelines and submit a proposal.

Suppliers to the higher education sector will generally be required to exhibit in order to be considered as speakers, except in cases where the proposed presentation is of significant value for the delegates.

Quality of presentations

Most sessions last a maximum 45 minutes and a wide-variety of formats are used (see below). In all cases, presentations that focus on providing education, case studies, real-life experiences and practical takeaways are well received. We encourage presenters to share best practices and offer information that is not easily found via self-study or other educational events.

Our Conference Committee can assist in the creation and/or review of session ideas to make sure the topic is well aligned and suitable for our conferences.

Presentations formats and style

The conference programme will include a mix of sessions. In addition to plenary presentations we particularly like formats that are collaborative in nature (peer discussions, panels, round tables, etc.). If the topic is one that is more conducive to classroom style learning, we are agreeable to that approach provided it meets the quality and requirements outlined here. Sales/product pitch presentations are expressly discouraged.

All presentations are typically made available for download once the conference has concluded. We ask that speakers give permission to release their slides and any other information at a session, e.g. handouts or other promotional material.

A note on sales pitches

Our delegates do not welcome sales pitches at the Conference. Attendees expect quality content that is relevant and credible. Speaking at our conference event is an exceptional way to build brand awareness for you and your organisation and to network with higher education healthcare decision-makers.
