Campus Health decision makers and professionals from almost every public university in South Africa attend the annual SAACHS Conference and Exhibition.

These health care professionals are looking for information, products, and services to optimise their on-campus clinics, outreach programmes and working environments. Many of our community use the conference as an opportunity to discuss their health care plans and strategies with colleagues and relevant supplier partners.

Held under the auspices of the South Africa Association of Campus Health Services, the high-engagement conference, exhibition and associated evening functions enable you to cost-effectively reach these valuable prospects in one collaborative event.

Close-knit, collaborative 3-day exhibition

Our Campus Health community is close knit, and the event leverages our close relationships in a friendly environment. The niche exhibition is fully integrated with the conference and provides maximum collaboration with the buyers, decision-makers and influencers who attend the event. Exhibitors are encouraged to fully participate in our entire programme of keynote addresses, workshops, teambuilding and social activities.

  • The Exhibition opens each morning before the conference gets underway, with tea and refreshments.
  • Exhibitors are encouraged to participate in the conference sessions,
  • Don't miss the dinner events

The Audience

The Conference is restricted to Primary Health Care Practitioners (doctors, nursing and other healthcare staff) working on University Campuses, associated healthcare professionals, and their supplier partners. It is not open to the general public.

The typical conference attendee is a doctor or professional nurse, and almost all Campus Health Heads of Department attend the event. Attendees include PHC and OHS practitioners (Nurses), Pharmacists, Social workers, Health promoters, HIV counsellors, and other related professions.

  • Medical and health care equipment, supplies and services
SAACHS Members (and conference attendees) manage multi-million rand budgets and make all the buying decisions about medicines, medical equipment, supplies, and associated services used in their Universities.  In a typical campus health environment nursing staff actively influence and recommend product brands and suppliers, with the final procurement decisions made by their Campus Health Heads of Department.

  • Prescribing and dispensing of medicines
In most cases Universities employ campus doctors on a sessional basis, reporting to the Campus Health Head of Department who is a Professional Nurse. These Professional Nurses prescribe and dispense medications on site. They work closely with campus pharmacists and other health care professionals within their departments to determine which pharmacy house or brand of medication to use, and have the final say on the medicines dispensed on campus.
