Rene Sparks is a public health practitioner with a foundation in nursing and Director of HACCSA - Health Advocacy & Clinical Compliance South Africa.

René has over 21 years’ experience in healthcare across private, public and civil society spaces in South Africa as well as abroad. She is passionate about sexual and reproductive health and rights, creating access to quality health care by providing training to health workers and amplifying the voices of communities through identifying intersectionalities and creating opportunities to collaborate with various stakeholders.

With 20 years of experience in healthcare, HACCSA is committed to sharing quality health care training and provide excellent service to key and vulnerable populations. We offer comprehensive, integrated health care but specialise in HIV/AIDS, STIs and TB as well as Sexual Reproductive Health services. We have a strong foundation in caring for marginalised communities: People who use drugs #PWUD, #LGBTQI #AGYW, #SexWorkers and #MSM. We offer tailored training for Peer Led Health providers as well as Nursing staff within community programmes. Our specialities are: Procurement and Supply Management (PSM), Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH), Rapid Test Continuous Quality Improvement (RTCQI) and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) inclusive of Mask fitting. Additionally, we are able to provide services for Corporate Wellness: HIV testing, STI and TB Screening, Family Planning services and cervical screening.
