Kerry-Lynn Thomson is a Professor in the School of IT at the Nelson Mandela University, Head of Department for Network Engineering and Director of the Centre for Research in Information and Cyber Security (CRICS).
She is a National Research Foundation (NRF) C2-rated researcher and the current Chair of the international IFIP Technical Committee 11 Working Group 12 (11.12) – Human Aspects of Information Security and Assurance.
Kerry-Lynn is a Professional Member of the IITPSA, Chair of the Special Interest Group on Cybersecurity (SIGCyber) and a committee member of the Eastern Cape Chapter.
She is also a senior instructor in the Cisco Networking Academy Program at the Nelson Mandela University Cisco Academy.
Kerry-Lynn’s research focus is interdisciplinary and includes cybersecurity, cybersecurity awareness and education, corporate culture and the human aspects of information assurance.
