Dr Nolitha Vukuza

Dr Nolitha Vukuza is a seasoned executive with decades of leadership experience across higher education, government, the private sector, and international diplomacy. Her career spans senior roles in academia and public service, including serving as the International Representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Training at UNESCO, the OECD, the ILO, the EU, and in Switzerland and Germany, during her tenure based in Paris.
On her return to South Africa, she joined the University of Johannesburg as Senior Executive Director, leading University Relations, Student Affairs, and UJ Sport, and serving on the institution’s Management Executive Committee.
Dr Vukuza is a former trustee of the FirstRand Foundation and currently sits on the Councils of both the Robben Island Museum and Nelson Mandela University. Her blend of academic expertise, executive leadership, and global diplomatic experience positions her as a compelling and authoritative voice in the higher education and public-sector landscape.
