HIGHER HEALTH works in eight key areas to promote the health and wellbeing of students across South Africa’s 26 public universities, 50 technical and vocational training colleges (TVET) and 9 community education and training colleges (CET).

HIGHER HEALTH is a national agency that seeks to inspire success of two million students that attend 26 universities and 50 TVET colleges by improving their health and wellbeing. We seek to reduce the effect of health-related conditions that often challenge students in tertiary studies and which, if left unaddressed, can lead to students delaying the completion and even abandoning their studies.

HIGHER HEALTH’s vision is to be the primary instrument for improving student success rates and completion of studies through enhanced levels of holistic health and psychosocial wellbeing. The mission of HIGHER HEALTH is to inspire success through improving wellbeing among students across the post-schooling education sector.
