Poster Presentations

You are invited to submit a poster presentation abstract
for consideration by the 2025 Conference Committee.

We are very pleased to confirm that Poster Presentations will form part of our 2025 Conference in Bloemfontein in January. SAACHS members are invited to submit abstracts for consideration by the Organising Committee. Successful applicants will receive a Powerpoint template to prepare their poster, and instructions for submission. 

Posters will be displayed on large LED digital screens at the Conference. 

How to apply to present a poster

  • Prepare an abstract of your poster presentation and submit it using the webform below.
  • Your abstract will be considered by the Conference committee.
  • If successful, you will need to register to attend the conference.
  • Full submission details for your poster will be provided to successful applicants.
  • The deadline for abstract submission is Wednesday 13 November 2024.

Guidelines for abstract submissions

  • Draft your abstract in text format in MS Word or a similar programme according to the fields described below.
  • Use Arial plain font in 10 points.
  • The combined text in these fields should not exceed 300 words.
  • Do not include images, tables, graphs, or columns.
  • When your document is ready re-open this page and copy and paste the text from your document into the webform fields below.

Fields required in your abstract submission

  1. Abstract Title
  2. Authors and Affiliations
  3. Type of presentation
    • Research
    • Strategy or Project 
  4. Research abstracts should contain the following concise statements:
    1. Background:       The description of the problem or the hypothesis, the study objectives
    2. Methods:             Study methods used, or approaches taken
    3. Results:               Specific results in summarised form
    4. Conclusions:       Statement about the main outcomes.
  5. Strategies or project abstracts should contain the following concise statements:
    1. Background:       Short statement summarising the issue(s) addressed by the abstract     
    2. Methods:            A brief description of the project, experience, program, or research
    3. Results:              A brief description of the results or lessons learned
    4. Conclusions:      A brief statement of next steps / recommendation
    5. Scalability:        What is needed to scale the project/activity to a regional or national level, ? e.g. New or amended policies, operations, human resources, and financial implications.
