Sr Geya was elected to the role of SAACHS National Treasurer at the 2026 Annual General Meeting, after serving a previous term as SAACHS National Chairperson.

Miemie Geya is Director: Centre for Student Health & Wellness at University of Johannesburg focusing on students’ health and well-being. She is passionate about young people and hopes to bring health services as close to them as possible.

She was elected as a chairperson of SAACHS in 2020.
